We believe in collecting only the data necessary to provide a private, seamless shared house experience:
- Account Identifiers: Name, email address, and avatar image (when signing in via Google or Apple).
- House Ledger Data: Expense titles, amounts, payer details, bill schedules, and chore assignments logged by housemates.
- House Vault Documents: Optional PDF uploads such as lease agreements or warranty receipts uploaded to your house document vault.
We Never Sell Your Data
Sparekey does not sell, rent, or monetize your household data, shared expense ledgers, or document uploads to advertisers or third parties.
2. How Data is Shared Within a House
Sparekey is designed for shared visibility among housemates. All members of an approved flat can view shared expenses, running balances, chore schedules, and house feed activities. Data is strictly isolated per house group and cannot be accessed by other house accounts.
3. Document Vault Security
Documents uploaded to the house vault (e.g., lease PDFs or deposit receipts) are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Only verified members of your house group hold access keys.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You can request full account deletion or export your house expense ledger at any time. When a housemate leaves a flat, their past contribution logs remain stored in the flat's read-only ledger history for audit integrity.
